The countdown is on for the most exhilarating sporting, and entertainment event of the year, the Jozi 10s! Taking place at St. Stithians College in Sandton on the 25th and 26th of August 2023!
Prepare to be captivated as players, and spectators unite for an electrifying weekend of action-packed fun, and unforgettable moments. The Jozi 10s promises to be an event like no other. Here are 10 things you need to know before heading to the Jozi 10s:

o Don’t be silly, and drive when drinking, ask your sober boet or betty to take the wheel. We’ve got enough apps for lifts in Jozi so drinking, and driving is out of the question
· This is not a library

· Eyes open heads up:
o This rule applies for both the sport, and spotting celebs as Morne Steyn, Vanes-Marie, DJ PH and many more will be walking about to watch your game. Stay safe and attentive at all times.
· Cash is King, but not here:
o Leave your cash at home, just bring your card. We are a cashless party.
· Sing your heart out
o Awaken the performer in you and sing along to some of South Africas top artists and DJs like Timo ODV, DJ PH, Rubber Duc, and many more!
For Players:
- Preparation Prevents Poor Performance and Injuries: Athletes, buckle up for a battle of strength and strategy! Be sure to have done some form of training and regular stretching leading up to the Jozi 10s. You don’t want to pull a hammie!
- Unleash Your Team Spirit: Embrace the camaraderie! Rally your team, forge unbreakable bonds, and represent your team with passion and gees! Maybe even come up with a team song?
- Elevate Your Performance: Make sure you have all you need to perform. Pack your bag ahead of time and include things like strapping and protective gear to ensure your physical safety. The only headaches we want are the ones from the after game parties!
- Fuel Your Fire: Athletes, power up with the right fuel! Fine-tune your nutrition and hydration to maximize your energy and stamina. Things like rehydrate can help aid in replacing lost electrolytes to help maintain your competitive fire and allow you to unleash your full potential on the Jozi 10s stage.
- Strategize to Perfection: Learn the Jozi 10s format! Work out a plan of action for your team. Make a WhatsApp group to ensure you are all informed and up to date. Bring the vibe and your tribe, come along and have some fun in the Joburg sun!

About 10s
10s is the brainchild of rugby legends Bob Skinstad and Robbie Fleck. Founded in 2008 as a rugby-only tournament, the festival has evolved into a multi-sport tournament where fans and players join together to have some fun, form incredible friendships, and celebrate over a couple of cold beverages. What started out as a once a year rugby tournament in Cape Town in 2008 has now grown to five multiple cross-code festivals located throughout South Africa as 10s fever has reached wider areas of the country.
