The South African Deaf Rugby Association (SADRA) is proud to announce an upcoming EP Open Day on Saturday, April 27, from 10:00 to 12:00 at the iconic Crusaders Rugby Club B-Field located in St George’s Park.
This event is proudly partnered with Crusaders SAPS Rugby and the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture.
This event aims to provide a welcoming environment for those who are Deaf or hard of hearing to explore the world of rugby. It is open to boys, girls, men, and women interested in experiencing the thrill of the game regardless of previous exposure to the sport.
The EP Open Day marks the beginning of an inspiring journey for the Deaf and hard of hearing community in the province. EP Deaf Rugby aspires to become a leading force in SA Deaf rugby and is excited to nurture talent within this often-underrepresented group.
As an official associate of the South African Rugby Union, EP Deaf Rugby stands to offer unique opportunities for participants.
Once regional and national competitions are established, individuals showcasing exceptional skills and dedication may have the chance to represent their regions with regional and national colors, opening doors to further achievements in the sport.

Any Deaf or hard of hearing players who are currently playing club rugby in the province are encouraged to mail vp@sadeafrugby.co.za so that they can be invited to attend SA trials ahead of our internationals in August against England, Australia, Japan and Zimbabwe
